Could plans for a new south suburban airport finally happen?
An airport in Peotone, IL has been debated for decades and the proposal has been revived now that the state is offering a budget that would offer improved roads to the site from I-57 according to the Chicago Tribune.
Supporters say it would help relieve some of the stress put on by other airports, especially since large e-commerce companies like Amazon are continuing to grow and could benefit from the location. PLUS, massive distribution centers south of the city would be able to open!
We'll see if it happens.
