A sheep that escaped while being transported from a farm was on the loose Monday morning in a South Side neighborhood according to NBC 5. It led authorities on quite a chase, and video shows it successfully evading repeated capture attempts by animal control officers.
Eventually, the female sheep was tranquilized and taken to Chicago Animal Care and Control. “The medical team have been monitoring her, and she’s doing quite well,” the group says on their Facebook page.
“She is named McKinley and she will be going to rescue. It is speculated that she may have escaped a farm transport. Better days are ahead for this ‘little’ girl.”
