Indiana Library Offers Cake Pans to Borrow

When Megan Waugh took her family to their local public library in Bristol, Indiana, she noticed a shelf in the corner that contained not books or magazines, but cake pans.

As Eater reports, it turns out that libraries across the country have been loaning out cake pans--as well as air fryers and blenders--to cardholders.

As one librarian, whose location has over 100 cake pans for loan, explains, “Libraries are about access to information, and different parts of the community being able to access those things and information equally."

I think this is a great idea!

Libraries are often undervalued by our communities and offer so much more than just books!

Access to the internet, word processing, after school studying, childhood development and play, movies, passes to local museums...and as it turns out, kitchen items! Love it!
