"All in the Family" & "Good Times" LIVE Holiday Special Comes in December

This is going to be so good!

Christmas just came early for classic TV fans! On Tuesday, ABC announced that it will once again air a pair of live Norman Lear sitcom re-creations, this time bringing back an old episode of All in the Family with an old episode of Good Times.

“Being a part of Norman Lear’s world was a career highlight," says Jimmy Kimmel, who co-produced and co-hosted ABC's first Live in Front of a Studio Audience special back in May. "Working with great actors on these great shows was so much fun, we couldn’t resist tackling a holiday episode of All in the Family and one of my favorites, Good Times."

No announcement has been made so far about which episodes will be brought back to life or who will star in the sitcom re-creations. In May, Woody Harrelson and Marisa Tomei respectively portrayed All in the Family's Archie and Edith Bunker, while Jamie Foxx famously flubbed a line while taking on the role of The Jeffersons patriarch, George Jefferson.

The new Live in Front of a Studio Audience special will debut on December 18.
