Good news if you have an unpaid red light ticket in Illinois!
Comptroller Susana Mendoza said the state will stop collection of those fines starting February 6th!
Considering these were $100 tickets, it will be a very nice relief for anyone who's been avoiding paying them.
BUT just a heads up, the state does not collect for Chicago's red light camera or speeding camera tickets....so you'll still be held responsible for those.
At the end of the day, its a good idea to play it safe even after reading this news. Drive safely on the roads!
