Kit Kat has announced its newest limited edition flavor: birthday cake. Takeout says, even though the wafers remain the same, the outside of the Birthday Cake Kit Kat is vanilla-flavored white crème dotted with crunchy sprinkles.
The flavor was first revealed to only 10 influencers and journalists last month. "There’s no water in white crème, so the sprinkles don’t dissolve and their color doesn’t bleed. Vanilla itself is universally appealing.
Also, it’s easier to see colored sprinkles on a white, rather than a brown, background," says Justin Kukura, Hershey’s senior manager of chocolate development. The Birthday Cake Kit Kat bars should hit stores in early April.
