Get ready for a new baseball team. Over in Humboldt Park, the first ever all girls baseball team in Chicago, the Humboldt Park Gators, is gearing up for their first season ever. Consisting of a dozen or so 10-12 year old girls, the team will be facing off against a slew of teams made up of mostly boys.
The team is beyond confident, with one of the team members saying “I want to see the look on the guys’ faces when they realize we can throw stuff”. It’s also looking like the new team might really pack a punch with most of the players having played baseball since they could throw a ball.
