A preliminary study out of China has found that people with type A blood are more susceptible to catching coronavirus, the New York Post reports.
Researchers compared patients in Wuhan and Shenzen and found that those with type A blood were "significantly" more likely to be infected with or killed by the disease.
Those with type O blood had the lowest risk.
The research, published on Medrxiv.org, looked at the blood types of 2,173 confirmed coronavirus cases in the two Chinese cities.
If you have type A blood, the researchers said "there is no need to panic," but suggested "strengthened personal protection" to better reduce the chance of infection.
