Many Chicago Suburbs Implement Mask Mandate Before Statewide Order Begins

Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker just extended the statewide stay at home order for 30 more days through May 30th. Also, effective May 1, you must wear a face mask or cover while in public.

At least 20 Chicago suburbs have already issued requirements that residents over the age of 2 to cover their faces.

Some take effect this weekend, while others have already been in place:
