Lyft announced Monday that they are adding new requirements for drivers and passengers.
Passengers must now agree not to ride in the front seat, and drivers must also agree to keep their windows open whenever possible. When you're booking a ride now, Lyft will ask you to confirm that you're wearing a mask, and that you're not experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms.
Drivers will also have to confirm to passengers that they are wearing masks, and that they are keeping their vehicles and hands sanitized. Shared rides with strangers are also now prohibited, although you can share rides with people that get in with you at your pickup.
If you don't agree to the new rules, you will not get a Lyft.
