It didn't take long for Wisconsin to get to the bar on after the state's Supreme Court struck down lockdown orders this week.
Vice reports that watering holes across the state were slammed with customers literally minutes after Gov. Tony Evers' stay-at-home orders were deemed illegal. A bar called Nick's in Platteville even tweeted a pic of a packed house on Wednesday night with the caption, "Forty-five minutes after the bars open in Wisconsin."
Meanwhile, a local ABC affiliate reported that none of the patrons wore masks or, apparently, practiced social distancing. The Tavern League of Wisconsin had told its members on social media to "open immediately" after the state Supreme Court's 4-3 decision was handed down.
In the town of Port Washington, Iron Hog Saloon owner Chad Ardnt said, "If [people] don't feel that it's good to come out yet, more to them. But I hope they respect my feelings on, I would like to come out and I would like to start getting the economy going again."
