Target Temporarily Closes or Cuts Hours at 200 Stores due to Protests

Several Target stores have been looted or badly damage in Minnesota and other cities across the country.

The company has announce temporary closures at the following stores:

Broadway Oakland, CA

Buckhead South Atlanta, GA

South Loop Chicago, IL

Lake Street Minneapolis, MN (goal of opening in late 2020)

Uptown Minneapolis, MN

Washington Square W Philadelphia, PA

They have also reduced hours at 200 of its stores nationwide . Seventy of the affected stores are in Minnesota, while others are in Illinois, Wisconsin, New York, California, Texas, Georgia, Colorado, Oregon, and Pennsylvania.

The number of closures changes daily, so make sure you check with your nearby store before you head there.

“We are heartbroken by the death of George Floyd and the pain it is causing communities across the country," the retailer said in a statement on its website Saturday. "At this time, we have made the decision to close a number of our stores.”
