In the past couple beautiful days, we have had in Chicago, you may have noticed some odd looking bright blue CTA busses driving around the city while taking in the sun. No, these busses aren’t part of a special event celebrating the beautiful spring we are having, it’s actually one of the 6 new prototype electric buses the CTA is introducing to route around the city.
This is part of the testing phase that the CTA is putting the new bus through to see if they want to fully invest in the new 100% electric buses. This is all part of the goal for the CTA to have a 100% electric fleet by 2040. Hopefully these buses do well so we can see more of them.
If you want to know more about the new buses and how the CTA is going green, head on over to the main article here.
