Apparently, manufacturers are having issues filling orders of unprocessed and unwhipped cream cheese according to People.
Philadelphia Cream Cheese said they’re seeing increased demand and a shortage “as more people continue to eat breakfast at home and use cream cheese as an ingredient.” As a result, they’re upping their outflow – shipping 35% more products than last year.
Meanwhile, bagel shop owners will either be eliminating some of their signature cream cheese flavors, increasing prices or using lower-quality suppliers to get the job done.
