One of the best things to do during the winter months here in Chicago is to heat up your room, lay on the couch, get a comfy blanket and some warm tea, and read a good book to pass the time. There are, however, some events around town that not only fulfill the need to read, but also fulfill the need to get some fresh air and what little sunlight we get these days.
We are all in luck too because the folks over at Reader Chicago have put together a list of all the book-related, word-inspired, and otherwise literary events happening in Chicago in the coming weeks. These events are happening all over the city through the weeks of the 29th of January to the 26th of February.
Some of the events include readings from writers like Chicago Native Nancy Johnson, masterclasses in writing, and conversations in writing styles and genres. So if you are in need to feed your reading bug, or want a literary way to get out of the house, head over to the main article here.
