Sting has sold his songwriting catalog, and while details on the deal weren't disclosed, it's worth an estimated $250 million!
The deal included songs he wrote for The Police like "Every Breath You Take" and "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" along with all of the hits he wrote during his solo career.
Sting wrote in a statement "It is absolutely essential to me that my career’s body of work has a home where it is valued and respected not only to connect with longtime fans in new ways but also to introduce my songs to new audiences, musicians, and generations."
Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, David Coverdale, Stevie Nicks and the estate of David Bowie have all recently sold their catalogs, too.
