- NOAA says Americans in parts of the northern US will have a rare opportunity to see the northern lights tonight.
- New England, the Great Lakes, the northern Plains and part of the Pacific Northwest will have the best chances of catching tonight's light show.
- The Northwest, Midwest and most of eastern Canada will also have a chance to check the aurora borealis, too, but will have some cloud coverage that could make it a challenge.
- Accuweather says for the best chance to see the lights, head to a dark area away from light pollution and look toward the northern horizon.
