Flamingo That Escaped Kansas Zoo 17 years Ago Spotted in Texas

Pink Floyd, one of two flamingos that escaped a Kansas zoo 17 years ago, has been spotted in Texas!
Texas Parks and Wildlife shared a video of the flamingo, writing "Looks like Pink Floyd has returned from the 'dark side the of the moon'!"
Pink Floyd also goes by Flamingo no. 492 and was one of 40 flamingos imported from Tanzania to a Witchita, Kansas zoo back in 2003. The staffers forgot to clip Pink's feathers to prevent him from flying, so one day in 2005, the flamingo "flew the coop" with a companion named Flamingo no. 347. The two were last spotted together in 2005.
Pink Floyd isn't a loner, though, making friends with a Caribbean flamingo. They're spotted together from time to time.
