A Florida bride and her caterer have been arrested after guests became sick from allegedly eating food spiked with marijuana during a wedding back in February.
Deputies were called to the wedding of between 30 to 40 guests and the first person they ran into was a guy who said he “felt weird” and like he “had drugs inside of him.”
Other guests reported feeling “high” or “stoned” and were sent to the hospital.
When cops asked the bride if her wedding food, catered by a “holistic chef” had been laced with weed, she reportedly “stared with a blank expression” before denying the food was tainted.
Cops decided to take a doggy bag’s worth of evidence with them, like chocolate-covered strawberries, wine glasses, some bread and lasagna. The lasagna and the bread tested positive for THC, the hallucinogenic chemical in cannabis.
The bride and her caterer have now been charged with tampering, culpable negligence, and delivery of marijuana.
