Loud Music Law Set To Go Into Effect In Florida

  • Vibing to loud music in your car could get you a fine in Florida. 
  • Starting this Friday (July 1st), a statewide ordinance goes into effect that will fine motorists for listening to music at elevated levels. 
  • If your tunes can be heard more than 25 feet away from the car, authorities can hit you with a fine of up to $114. 
  • Since many vehicles are nearly 15 feet long, theoretically, an officer can issue a ticket if they are in front or behind you. 
  • The rules are even more strict in areas near churches, schools, and hospitals.
