Songs From John Hughes Soundtracks To Be Compiled In Box Set

John Hughes’ 80s movies all came with iconic soundtracks, and now those songs are being celebrated.

“Life Moves Pretty Fast: The John Hughes Mixtapes,” a new box set featuring highlights from the film soundtracks, is set to drop November 11th.

The package will feature select songs from Hughes movies like “Pretty in Pink,” “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” “The Breakfast Club,” “Sixteen Candles,” “Weird Science,” “National Lampoon’s Vacation,” “Some Kind of Wonderful,” “She’s Having a Baby,” “The Great Outdoors,” “Uncle Buck,” and “Planes, Trains and Automobiles.”

It will come out as a 74-track, 4xCD set with a bonus 7-inch and cassette, a limited edition 73-track 6xLP red vinyl, and a 25-track 2xLP. The CD and vinyl sets will both include a booklet filled with memories from “Ferris Bueller” star Matthew Broderick, James Hughes and more.
