The New York Times reported that the budget-friendly boxed pasta mix, once a staple of 1970s kitchens, has seen sales climb 14.5% in the year through August. The brand got a boost this summer from a surprise cameo appearance in the series The Bear. Eagle Foods, which purchased the brand from General Mills in 2022, has refreshed Hamburger Helper with new flavors like Spicy Jalapeño Cheeseburger, quicker cooking times, microwavable cups, and a breakfast line.
