Holiday Happenings- Museum of Science and Industry

It began in 1942, with just a single tree. Today, it is a beloved annual holiday tradition for Chicagoans to celebrate Christmas by visiting the floor-to-dome Grand Tree, surrounded by a forest of more than 50 trees and displays.

Griffin Museum of Science and Industry invites families to discover Christmas Around The World and Holidays of Light to celebrate how this season of snow brings warmth to every culture, paying homage to Chicago's 77 neighborhoods and beyond.

Now open through Christmas Eve. Christmas Around The World and Holidays of Light is included in Museum Entry.

Naughty or Nice Event (Dec. 12): Celebrate the most wonderful time of the year at Griffin Museum of Science and Industry's Naughty or Nice event, 21-and-up style on Thursday, December 12. Sip seasonal drinks and snap naughty—or nice—selfies with Santa and Krampus. Tickets are $35.
