What does "Me Too" In Your Feed Mean?

Women on social media are speaking out about being victims of sexual assault after Alyssa Milano launched a new hashtag, #MeToo, on Sunday to promote awareness in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal.

"If all the women who have been sexually harassed or assaulted wrote 'Me too' as a status, we might give people a sense of the magnitude or the problem," the 44-year-old Milano--who co-starred with Weinstein accuser Rose McGowan on Charmed--tweeted on Sunday.

The Guardian notes that more than 30,000 people had replied to Milano's tweet by Monday morning, with stars like Anna Paquin, Evan Rachel Wood and Debra Messing among those tweeting about their own experiences as victims.
