Cheerleaders assist opposing team after their squad gets flu

At the CLAA basketball conference in Carroll County, Missouri recently, it was the cheerleading squad from Hardin-Central High School who really stole the show. When the cheerleaders from their opposing team arrived, there was only one girl, because the rest of her team was home with the flu.. And that lone cheerleader, Tori Adams, was a little embarrassed and nervous to be up there alone, until the Hardin-Central team showed her some kindness.

"My coach gave me the option to cheer or not cheer, and I felt like I had to be there for the team," Tori said. She said she did a few cheers, but then took a break. She admitted she was a little uncomfortable to be cheering by herself. "It was a little intimidating," she said. But that went away when the girls from Hardin-Central came over. "They learned some of my cheers and I learned some of their cheers," she said. "It was a big relief."
