Carrie Underwood has been selfie-shy since receiving 40 stitches in her face from the nasty fall she took at her Nashville home in November. But the country A-lister took to social media last week to share a new pic of herself and husband Mike Fisher for a worthy cause: ending human trafficking and slavery.
"Together, we're in it to end it!" the 34-year-old wrote on Friday alongside a black-and-white pic that shows her holding a giant red "X" over the lower half of her face while Fisher holds up a fist with a similar red "X" drawn on it. "Help us shine a light on modern-day slavery."
The red "X" is a symbol of the End It Movement organization. Meanwhile, Underwood's fans let her know that they support her even though she's not ready to show her scars. "Carrie, you are gorgeous and you will always be gorgeous, scar or no scar," one fan wrote, while another commented, "You are a beautiful person inside and out."
