Clueless actress and conservative pundit Stacey Dash has filed the paperwork to run for United States Congress. The Daily Beast reports that the 51-year-old Dash will run in California's 44th district, which includes the San Pedro and Compton areas of Los Angeles.
The former FOX News commentator, who hinted at a possible campaign on Twitter earlier this month, will run as a Republican. Following reports of her campaign on Monday, Dash tweeted, "Formal statements coming. For those mocking the district I live in...open your minds. It's time for me to put up or shut up and I want to serve great people." During her time at FOX News, Dash made a number of controversial statements--including suggesting the elimination of Black History Month and BET.
