THE RETURN OF MELISSA FORMAN AS

93.9 LITE FM MORNING SHOW HOST

 

Chicago, IL –  May 21, 2018  - iHeartMedia Chicago announced today that Melissa Forman has returned as Morning Show Host for 93.9 LITE FM,­­­­­­­ Chicago’s Variety from the 80s, 90s & Now for Chicago!, effective May 29. The iHeartMedia Chicago Region has a strong cross-platform presence and includes a number of iconic brands and franchises — both broadcast and digital — encompassing six stations comprised of CHR, AC, Hip Hop and R&B, New Country and Contemporary Inspirational music formats.

Melissa can be heard live in studio weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. As morning show host, Melissa will kick off the workday with two hours of commercial free music from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Melissa’s tradition of informing and entertaining listeners will continue through celebrity interviews, charity involvement, and the unique relationships that she’s built with the people of Chicago. 93.9 LITE FM delivers a strong return on investment for clients reaching consumers through iHeartMedia’s unmatched assets, including on-air, online, social media, personalities and live events


Forman will report to Mick Lee, Program Director of 93.9 LITE FM.

Forman, a Chicago native, hosted mornings on 93.9 LITE FM for eight years before leaving in 2009 to join WCIU-TV (The “U”) to Co-Host “You & Me This Morning” with Jeanne Sparrow. She also worked at WLRW-FM/Champaign-Urbana, WVMX-FM/Cincinnati, before returning home to Chicago to work at WKIE-FM.

 

Forman says of her return, “It’s an opportunity to go home again. To a station that I have always loved, with listeners I have really missed. I’m humbled and excited.”
