Candy falls from SKY!

This amazing man known as the "Candy Bomber" used to drop candy bars to the children of West Berlin after World War II. It was something that changed the lives of so many children waiting on the daily for the plane to fly over and bring them a taste of the sweet life they were not living at the time. Gail Halvorsen the pilot became famous for doing this and many news stories flooded the world with his kindness. Well....guess what? He's still doing it today. That same joy felt at the end of a bitter war is now being felt by kids and adults at a time when we just might need it most. Watch....

Berlin Airlift 'Candy Bomber' still dropping sweets from the sky after 70 years

'CANDY BOMBER': Col. Gail "Hal" Halvorsen started his candy drops when he was an American pilot for the Allied forces during the Berlin Airlift. Now at age 97, he is still making children smile with his generosity from the sky.
