Jenelle Evans Quits Twitter Due To Depression

2017 MTV Video Music Awards - Arrivals

Jenelle Evans has had quite the tumultuous few months. Since May, the Teen Mom 2 star's husband David Eason admitted to shooting and killing her French bulldog Nugget after it allegedly bit their 2-year-old daughter Ensley; she got fired from Teen Mom, and she lost custody of all three of her kids. She's since regained custody of her children, and in a bizarre turn of events confessed to making up the dog incident for publicity (though if the dog isn't dead no one is sure of its whereabouts). She and Eason even brought two news dogs onto their farm; however, the ramifications of the year's events seem to have taken a toll on the 27-year-old.

On Friday night (August 9), the reality TV star took to Twitter to announce she was quitting the social media platform, citing depression as her reason for disconnecting.

Bye Twitter, everyone hates me," she wrote. "Depression sucks and you’ve got what you wanted. Hope you’re happy. Just keep writing about me, but I’m out."

Hopefully removing herself from social media will give Evans some peace of mind and time to focus on her family and her mental health.
