Get ready to bowl Chicago. On January 13th a classic Chicago staple is opening back up after two years of renovation, Avondale Bowl. The newly refurbished bowling alley is taking over the long vacant Northwest Bowl with a decidedly retro feel with the bowling alley having only 8 lanes with all the scoring done by hand with score cards.
Some of the old Northwest bowling alley has been salvaged though with some of the original Northwest Bowl bowling balls still in use. The alley also has a retro 70’s and 80’s themed menu at the bar to really live in the past.
