Loyola Students Help CTA Commuters With a New App

Have you ever taken the CTA and need to take the elevator but it is broken down? Well, a couple students over at Loyola University Chicago have created an app that will try and help you with this problem.

Tyler Arndt and Sam Siner, who are part of the software engineering program, have created an app that will let you know when the elevators are out of service at select “L” stations. The app is called Elevate Chicago and it allows users to select their preferred stations and will give users notifications when the elevators go out of service and when they go back in service.

Currently it is only on Android phones but the students will soon be putting out an app for Apple phones as well as synching it to Google features. If you want to know more about this new app head over to Block Club Chicago's Article.
