Lost Chicago Dog was Found After 8 Years of Being Gone

A dog named Shaggy was reunited with his owners after disappearing from a Chicago yard 8 years ago. Someone called into the owner and asked if the dog sitting in her kitchen was her.

One cause of the dog missing for 8 years might have been the shifting of a tracking microchip in the dog, which made it hard to identify it at the police station. The owner also suspects that the dog was potentially stolen, or abandoned to the streets to be picked up by the police.

When Shaggy the dog got home, he didn’t really know his name, but by the next day, he was never leaving his owners side. If you want to know more about this amazing mystery solved, you can head over the Tribune to see the full Story.
