Chicago Might Ban All Disposable Plastics By Next Year

Over 300 cities and 55 countries around the world have gotten rid of single-use plastics to reduce the amount of trash that goes into the oceans, and Chicago could be joining those cities.

A couple days ago, two alderman around the city introduced and ordinance that looks to significantly cut down how many plastic utensils are given out by restaurants and businesses. It also calls for the elimination of non biodegradable packaging. What a great idea to keep the cities rivers and parks clean, and I’m kind of surprised it hasn’t been introduced already.
