Flume Teams Up with Toro y Moi on New Song 'The Difference'

Australian producer/DJ Flume has teamed up with singer/songwriter/producer Toro y Moi on a brand new track time just in time for spring called "The Difference," also releasing its official music video. The upbeat drum & bass song was also featured in a new ad for Apple AirPods Pro.

In a statement, Flume said of working with Chaz Bear (AKA Toro y Moi) on the song, "We made this song between a day at my place in L.A.and a day at Chaz's spot in Oakland. This was our first time working together, I've been a Toro Y Moi fan for a while. His song 'Talamak' is a longtime favorite. I listened to that one a lot when I first started Flume as a project."

In the music video, directed by Jonathan Zawada, one half of the screen features a closeup of Chaz being hit in the face with what looks like paint, and the other half shows Flume on a jog through a sunny street, even stopping at one point to pet "the goodest boi on set."

The release of "The Difference" comes right after Flume recently announced his "Flume & Friends" shows, which are comprised of a series of three nights at Colorado's famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre on June 8-10. In addition to the Grammy-winning artist, the shows will also feature a roster of collaborators and guests including Cashmere Cat, Shlohmo, Mura Masa, Clams Casino, Kučka, SOPHIE, and his "The Difference" collaborator Toro Y Moi.
