Nora En Pure Revamps An '80s Classic For New Single: Premiere

At a time when folks are reverting focus back to themselves, Nora En Pure has released an atmospheric track to help curb the social isolation amid the coronavirus pandemic.

On Thursday (March 26), the house producer premiered her first single of the year with iHeartRadio and it's a familiar reworking of Phil Collin's classic "In The Air Tonight." Similar to the original 1981 smash, the song hears Los Angeles-based singer Lika Morgan sing the original lyrics, with Nora providing the perfect moody production to pair and a crescendo of magic for its final minute.

In a statement to iHeartRadio, the producer admitted that the track is something "a little different" from her usual work. "It means a lot that I was able to work on such an incredible classic with Lika Morgan," she explained via e-mail. "It has been in the works for quite some time, and happens to be coming out at a strangely fitting moment. I hope people can connect with our interpretation and this track's special mood."

You might just hear Nora include the song in her upcoming set as part of Beatport Presents: ReConnect, which will also features the likes of A-Trak, Duke Dumont and more spin live from their homes amid the quarantine. The 24-hour DJ set begins on Friday at 4 pm ET and aimed at raising money for the World Health Organization's COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund and the AFEM Members COVID-19 Hardship fund.
