With unbelievable times, comes unbelievable actions, and one of these actions happened a couple days back. For the first time ever, in Chicago Animal Control history, every single animal was adopted from their shelter.
Since the Stay at Home order was put into effect, thousands of people have applied to foster and adopt dogs and cats at Chicago shelters. Since the stay at home order, there have been 91 adoptions, with 1,200 people still applied for adoption. What’s even better is that it’s looking like most everyone will be getting a pet since there are 50 more animals getting ready for adoption and the high possibility of animals still being brought in.
