Chicago is Going to have its First City Wide Online Graduation

With the virus keeping us all inside and safe from one another, new online innovations keep popping up to help us become more accustomed to the new normal we are all living through.

One of these innovations is online graduation. With high school seniors all around Chicago land getting ready to graduate and move to do great things, the traditional graduation is all but out of the question due to the virus. That’s why a couple days ago the city of Chicago announced the first ever city wide virtual graduation. With Mayor Lori Lightfoot taking to Tik-Tok to make the major announcements, the graduation will take place in mid-June with special guest Oprah Winfrey delivering the commencement address.

The ceremony will celebrate every high school senior in Chicago from those attending Chicago Public Schools all the way to Catholic Schools. So if you know a Senior who is graduating and want to show your support, head on over to the main article here to see full details.
