Chicago Streets are Changing for the Good

With the world changed by the coronavirus, the City of Chicago is trying to use this to find new ways to change their roadways and try new things with the city's streets.

Some of these changes include opening up the streets for pedestrian and business use. So far 6 streets have been closing up every weekend including parts of Broadway and Rush street, with plans for more streets to close on the weekend for Taylor Street, 26th, and many more.

There are also new bikeways planned for the south side, as well as the installation of protected paths in already existing bike lanes. If you would like to know more about the changes coming to the streets, head on over to the main article here.
