Meet Raven! (A.K.A. Princess Raven ) I’m a sweet senior girl looking for a special person to spend my golden years with. I was bottle fed and hand raised by my original owner, who I spent most of my life with but sadly, when I didn’t get along with his girlfriend’s cats he gave me away. From there, I spent 3 years bouncing from home to home, until my last owner was arrested and the police brought me to the shelter, where I have been for 5 months now. The shelter discovered that I have impaired vision due to early onset cataracts in both of my eyes, as well as arthritis and mild hip dysplasia. Because my vision isn’t great, I can be nervous around new people but with a little time and lots of love, I eventually bond VERY deeply with those I love. In my time here, I have formed a very special bond with my favorite staff member. Everyone else is okay but I really only care about her. She is my best friend in the whole wide world and I’m always SO excited to see her. She takes me out to the play yard everyday, we go on walks and car rides and always have lots of fun together. I feel safest when I am with her and she has helped me feel safe with everyone else too. She is my “person” here. But unfortunately, she can’t be my “person” forever so I am looking for the right person who can take her place. I would prefer a calm, quiet home with one or two adults and no other pets!
