New Walking Tour in Wicker Park.

Over in Wicker Park a new walking tour is coming to help shed a light on historical homes and landmarks. Doorways of Chicago, a popular Instagram account run by Ronnie Frey, is behind these new walking tours. Ronnie, started the account by posting photos of houses, buildings, and other architecture highlights around the Chicago area.

After being laid off due to COVID, he turned his photographic hobby into a full time job. With the account growing larger and getting more attention, Ronnie had the idea to develop walking tours to show highlights in specific Chicago neighborhoods. The first one was a tour in Old Town, which featured historical worker cottages in the neighborhood and would be taken through a mobile app designed for self guided tours called e-Atlas. Ronnie then partnered with the app and created tours in Pullman, North-Halsted, and other neighborhoods.

The new tour will be about a Two-Hour, 3 mile walk, featuring dozens of Wicker Park classics like the Robey Hotel and Rainbow Club. Ronnie also plans on releasing a Ukrainian village tour in the coming months as well. So if you want to explore our great city, have an interactive walk, or just go see some great neighborhood architecture, head on over to the main article here.
