Attention all of those who have a car in Chicago and park along the street. Street sweeping has begun in the city! Now instead of worrying about a snow fall of more than a couple inches, we need to worry about weather our streets are being swept today.
The sweeping will run from April all the way till mid-November, so that the streets can be clear of litter and debris. To know if you street is going to be swept, look on your block for orange signs that say when there will be temporary parking restrictions for sweeping.
For some streets there are permanent signs, and for other streets, the department of Streets and Sanitations will put up temporary signs two days before the sweepers will come through. If you want to know more about street sweeping head over to the main article here.
