Summer is here and with that comes heat and one of the best ways to deal with that is a dip into the cool water of one of our many public pools. Due to a lack of lifeguards in the City though, as of right now some of the public pools around the city will be closed for the season.
Some of the pools that will not open this season include Armor Square Pool, Columbus Park Pool, Jefferson Memorial Pool, and Union Park Pool. Of the 77 public pools in the city, the Park district plans to open 37 of them including : Blackhawk Pool, Hale Pool, McKinley Park Pool, and River Pool.
