Elton John and David Furnish are looking back at some of the happiest days of their life.
On Sunday (December 21), the "Rocket Man" musician, 78, shared a throwback photo with his "incredible husband" to Instagram as he celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary. The longtime couple, who met in 1993, originally entered into a civil partnership in 2005 and then wed again in 2014 when same-sex marriage was legalized in the U.K., per People.
"Happy anniversary to my incredible husband," he wrote. "Today we celebrate 20 years since our civil partnership, 11 years of marriage, and many more years of happiness to come!"
Furnish, 63, shared his own tribute reflecting on the decades he and John have spent together and they life they have built alongside photos from their big day. The couple are also parents to sons Zachary, 14, and Elijah, 12.
"20 years ago today we were civil partnered. 11 years ago today we were wedded," he said. "Happy Anniversary to my magnificent husband @eltonjohn I'm so grateful for the beautiful life we have built together. Love you forever, David xo."
The "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" singer has previously shared how the support from his husband and their kids have helped him through his medical struggles. John revealed last year that he lost sight in his right eye and was losing vision in his left, but he still has "hope" for his deteriorating vision.
