Here's How To Make Queen Elizabeth II's Favorite Pancake Recipe

After Queen Elizabeth II's death on Sept. 8, we've been learning more and more about the Queen's personal life.

From her favorite recipes to her cocktail of choice.

Now royal family fanatics found the royal recipe for pancakes — which she originally included in a letter to President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1960 and referred to them as Drop Scones.

Ingredients for Drop Scones (enough for 16 people):

  • 4 teacups flour
  • 4 tablespoons caster sugar
  • 2 teacups milk
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 2 teaspoons bicarbonate soda
  • 3 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

According to the New York Post, the monarch instructed bakers to “beat eggs, sugar, and about half the milk together, add flour, and mix well together, adding the remainder of milk as required, also bicarbonate and cream of tartar, fold in the melted butter.”
