Bill Cosby Asks to be Released From Prison, Officials say NO

Bill Cosby will not be getting out of prison anytime soon. He is serving up to 10 years for sexual assault in Pennsylvania and there will be NO chance of serving out his time at home despite the concern for Coronavirus in prison environments. There have been 3 staff members at this same facility who have died as the result of COVID-19. His attorney's are concerned as Cosby is elderly and nearly blind. He needs to escorted around the prison with assistance making it more difficult for him to maintain social distancing. According to a Pennsylvania Department of Corrections spokesperson "Sex offenders are not eligible under the reprieve criteria". Which essentially means, sex offenders are not eligible for early release despite these circumstances.
