Neiman Marcus Group may be the first U.S department store operator to file for bankruptcy amid the Coronavirus pandemic and it could happen as early as this week. They have already closed all 43 of their locations around the country including Last Call stores and Bergdorf Goodman in New York. Earlier, they furloughed nearly 14,000 employees. They are in the final stages of negotiating a loan with their creditors which would help keep the stores operating during bankruptcy proceedings.
