A Pug in North Carolina becomes First Dog in US to Test Positive

A North Carolina pug became the first dog in the country to test positive for the coronavirus. So you might ask yourself (like I did. lol!)...why did a dog get tested in the first place? Well...Winston (from Chapel Hill) was coughing, sneezing and had lost his appetite. Because Pugs love to eat so much she thought it was very odd. They took him to the vet and he became part of a study at Duke University after his family then fell ill with the virus. He is believed to be the first known positive canine case in the country. The good news is Winston is fully recovered after being sick for only a few days and is now home with his family.
