New Law in Germany Would Mandate Walking Your Dog 2 Hours a Day

  • Germany's agriculture minister has proposed a new law that would mandate two hourlong walks per day for pooches.
  • "Dogs are not cuddly toys. They also have their own needs, which need to be taken into account," Julia Klöckner says.
  • The proposed regulations would also ban tethering dogs to a chain or a leash for extended periods of time.
