Krispy Kreme Launching a MARS Donut for the Nasa Trip on Thursday

  • When NASA's Perseverance rover travels through a daunting "seven minutes of terror" to land on Mars Thursday, you can sit back and relax on planet Earth with a limited-edition donut.
  • Krispy Kreme is celebrating NASA's mission by releasing a Mars donut, caramel-dipped and chocolate cream-filled, with a red swirl glaze that resembles Mars, topped with a little chocolate cookie crumb "space dust."
  • If the Mars donut sounds out of this world to you, you need to make it your mission to visit Krispy Kreme on Thursday, cause the donut is only available on February 18th, when NASA attempts to land another rover on the red planet.
  • NASA hopes that Perseverance will land at around 3:55pm on Thursday after its nearly 294 million mile trip.  You can watch the rover's landing attempt beginning at 2:15 on NASA's YouTube, Twitch and Facebook channels and its website.
